Cause Based Purpose and Communication Strategy

TRAINING PROGRAM – MULTI COMPANY VITAL IMPORTANCE
A clear, sustainable corporate purpose strengthens employee engagement, customer loyalty, and the organization’s reputation, ultimately leading to healthy, long-term profitability.
Organizations, following the European CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) 01/2023, which was drafted as part of the UN’s “17 Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs) for sustainable development, are called to align their activities with issues of environmental awareness, social welfare, and ethical practices.
This alignment, beyond regulatory compliance, represents an opportunity for organizations to develop a “cause-based purpose” that ultimately places sustainability at the core of their strategy.
In the process of integrating a sustainable corporate purpose, organizations face challenges primarily in:
- Recognizing a clear and authentic corporate purpose,
- Understanding how to integrate it into their broader strategy, and
- Subsequently, how to communicate it to stakeholders.
The training program “Corporate Purpose and Communication Strategy” is designed to address the training needs identified for senior and top-level executives within an organization, aiming to develop the mindset that will lay the foundation for driving this direction forward.
Training Needs
- Lack of Understanding of the “Why”: Many organizations focus solely on profitability and fail to recognize the strategic value of a purpose rooted in sustainability values.
- Lack of Skills: Employees and executives may lack the necessary knowledge or tools to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations.
- Resistance to Change: There is often discomfort or resistance to change, especially when it involves new requirements, such as compliance with the CSRD directive.
- Ineffective Communication: Organizations struggle to strategically shape and communicate their corporate purpose to employees, customers, and the public.
- Competitive Pressure: Without a clear purpose, organizations risk losing the trust of customers and partners in an ever-changing and demanding business environment.
The program is approved as a Multi-Enterprise Scheme by the Human Resource Development Authority (HRDA) in Cyprus and provides the opportunity for participant funding.
